The podcast for The 'One Thing' is Three includes the reading of the book as well as several lay people discussing the questions from the Retreat Companion (workbook). The podcast was created by laypeople who are not trained theologians.  The discussion segments attempt to simulate the types of discussions that typically happen in a small group: comments made in the discussion groups represent only each person's opinion and do not represent Fr. Michael Gaitley 

Wisdom and Works of Mercy is a study by Fr. Michael Gaitley MIC. It is part of a bigger program called Hearts Afire Parish-based Program (HAPP). The HAPP retreats are best done in small groups. 

The Wisdom and Works of Mercy study uses two books. The first book is The 'One Thing' is Three: How the Most Holy Trinity Explains Everything.  The 'One Thing' is Three book gives us laity a crash course in theology. It is written in an easy to understand, conversational style. It is filled with references to St John Paul II and Vatican II.   The second book in the Wisdom and Works of Mercy Study is You Did It To Me: A Practical Guide to Mercy in Action. This book gives the laity practical ways to do the corporal and spiritual works of mercy.
